Welcome to RescueMesh — a safety-first mobile application designed to assist users during ski and snowboarding activities through offline mesh connectivity. By accessing or using the RescueMesh app or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the application.  

1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms apply to all users of the RescueMesh app and related services. Your continued use of RescueMesh indicates your acceptance of these terms, our Privacy Policy, and any updates we may post.  

2. Use of the Application

You agree to use RescueMesh only for lawful purposes and personal safety. You must not:

  • Use the app to send false SOS signals or spam messages
  • Reverse engineer, duplicate, or redistribute the application
  • Use the app in a way that may compromise the mesh network or user privacy
  • Modify the app without permission

RescueMesh is provided for personal safety assistance and is not a substitute for professional rescue services or common sense precautions.  

3. Safety Disclaimer

While RescueMesh is designed to assist in emergencies, it does not guarantee rescue, response time, or life-saving outcomes. Use of the app does not replace standard safety procedures, travel planning, or responsibility for your own actions in high-risk environments.  

4. User Responsibilities

By using RescueMesh, you agree to:

  • Keep your app updated for optimal performance and safety
  • Use emergency features only when necessary
  • Enable Bluetooth, location, and battery settings required for mesh functionality
  • Input accurate emergency contact information (if applicable)

5. Location & Data Use

RescueMesh only accesses your GPS location:

  • When you activate SOS
  • If auto-triggered fall detection is enabled
  • When you enable live tracking (optional)

We do not continuously monitor your location in the background. For more, please refer to our Privacy Policy.  

6. Limitations & Availability

  • RescueMesh requires device compatibility, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Direct availability, and user proximity for mesh features to work.
  • Features may be limited in extreme weather, poor terrain, or insufficient nearby devices.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, design, and software in RescueMesh are the property of [Your Company Name] unless otherwise stated. You may not use any part of the app’s branding, assets, or design without express permission.  

8.  Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RescueMesh and its creators will not be liable for:

  • Any personal injury, loss, or death resulting from failure to receive or respond to SOS alerts
  • Inaccurate location data
  • Loss of data, phone damage, or battery drain
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Use RescueMesh at your own risk and discretion.  

9. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of USA. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of local courts in that region.
