Step 1: Install & Set Up
- Download RescueMesh on your phone before heading to the slopes
- Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct
- Pair with your ski group or allow automatic nearby discovery
- Optionally, share trip info with family or ski patrol for added safety

Step 2: Move Freely — Stay Connected
- Your device now becomes a node in the RescueMesh network
- As you ski, your device exchanges signal pulses with nearby RescueMesh users
- The more users on the mountain, the stronger the mesh becomes
Think of it like a walkie-talkie, but smarter and auto-connected.
Step 3: Instant Emergency Alerts
You have two ways to trigger a rescue alert:
- Manual SOS: Tap the red emergency button if you need help
- Auto SOS (V2): The app detects falls or inactivity and sends alerts automatically
- Once triggered:
- Your exact location is shared with nearby users and ski patrol dashboard
- A rescue beacon is activated via the mesh
- First responders receive real-time updates
Even one person nearby is enough to begin the rescue chain.
Step 4: Rescue Coordination
You have two ways to trigger a rescue alert:
- Ski patrol teams use the Rescue Dashboard to monitor all active alerts
- They get last known location, user movement trail, and alert priority
- They communicate back to the injured skier (via offline message relay)
- Once rescued, the system marks you as “Safe”
